For implementation projects like workforce development, business accelerators, cluster scale-up endeavors and business site development in Region 4.

GRANT

Primarily for implementation projects, requires two or more regions, and designed for projects to compete for funding at the state level.

Keep in mind these important funding requirements:

  • All projects must have support from two or more localities
  • All GO Virginia funds must be matched by non-state funds (from federal/local governments, foundations or from the private sector
  • Must align with Region 4’s Growth & Diversification plan with a focus on Region 4 cluster priorities including:
  • Accelerating Momentum on Workforce Development and Talent Attraction
  • Enhancing the Innovation/Information Technology Ecosystem
  • Site Readiness and Development
  • Supporting Potentially Transformative Projects in Emerging Clusters Related to Bioscience, Advanced Manufacturing and Logistics
